i beleive the GSi is pushing out a little bit more, and comes under a higher insurance group!

From what i gather the SRI-T is 187 bhp and the GSI is 197 bhp in Factory form!

Some insurance companies class the sri-t to be a higher to insure as the GSI (for some reason) as i done a quote for my mate at work and the sri-t was more to insure then the GSI

Although the GSi is supposed to give an extra 10 bhp, if you get them on a rolling road they are virtually identical, with differences just being down to variances in each car - Vauxhall were very wary of scaring the insurance companies and were very conservative with the power quoted in the original spec.

From what I have been told the software was only changed from the SRi to GSi to make the power delivery smoother, not to increase peak bhp.

The SRi Turbo might be more of an insurance risk as it was a limited edition.

    Edit - poor grammar used!!
