    1.8 Sandwich plate

Can you get a sandwitch plate adaptor for a z18xe? So I can fit an oil pressure gauge

you can only fit a sandwich plate if the engine's got a canister type oil filter, and IIRC the 1.8 has a cartrige type.

The other method would be to get an adaptor and then tee off the OE oil pressure switch on the block

Think you might be right - hence my "IIRC"

In that case iyou should be able to fit one, assuming there's enough clearance

I didn't take it as cheeky - my past workings on either 1.8 are few and far between

You may rephrase the question, but the answer is still the same - if you've got a spin on canister type oil filter, then you should be able to get a sandwich plate on.

You need to check the clearance tho.
