    T/C And/Or ABS problem

    Hey guys

i have got a problem with the ABS or traction control system, sometimes when i start the car both of these lights come on, on the dash but after turning the car off and back on they will clear and some times come on when driving down the road but i really dont know where to start.

any help would be fantastic thanks.

Been covered loads of times, you have a faulty wheel hub sensor. You'll probably need to get it on a diagnostic 'puter to find out which one it is, you're probably looking at about £90 for a replacement from Auto Vaux.

Any other questions, try searching for it as there's plenty of thread out there with this problem.

On the turbos this is quite often the problem, but he drives a 2.0 ltr, I'm assuming its a non turbo.

if your speedo is working and you have a hub problem then it'll be the drivers side one, as the speedo take off is on the passenger side.

Thats what I thought too Simon, but apparently it would appear that a rear hub failur can produce the same problems. I was talking to Blackfaith at TMS and I'm 99% sure he said his was the rear hub that was playing up.

I used to have the same issue with my car, the speedo packed up, and it was the pass side hub.
