Cracked the manifold - what are my options? (ZLET)

Car was in for a CV boot, asked them to check the blow from the exhaust as well, came back to the bonnet up, heatshield removed to expose a big crack in the manifold.

Vauxhall want £780 plus the dreaded.

Autovaux and LMF I'm thinking less.

Also a VXR - is there actually any real benefit to going for this if I don't remap or do any other mods?

Get yourself a vxr turbo and manifold from LMF/Autovaux - or look around on ebay for a repalcement ZLET turbo with manifold, they come up pretty regular, but you need to be sure about what you are buying.

Courtenay Sport can also supply the turbo with a warranty. Have read on here that some people have had a problem over warranty with some suppliers.

Yes they can - but it's best left to a specialist imo as there are obviously tight tolerances/fittings invlolved.

I understand where you are coming from Scott, but from what I have seen of a Zlet blower in bits, they are fairly simplistic, you should be able to rebuild like for like with little or no tweaking provided you take you time and a few measurements

This I wasn't sure about - would I be able to fit the manifold but keep my turbo?
