    Question Software upgrades at VX

just read on here the new upgrades disable the egr? is this true?

so my question is whether its worth it how much would it be e.t.c

especially interested in improved driveability, mpg; its either this or save for a remap.

    cheers
    Drives : Astra Mk4 1.8i 16v Sport

    MPG improvement - I haven't seen any.
My EGR hasn't gone since last time 20'000 miles ago. I have the latest update and I believe the new map doesn't use the EGR valve at all.
    Its a jam thing

Dont Think It Applys To The X18xe1 Mate, 1.6 8v Is Z16se.......its Not Worth Going Out The Way To Have Done, We Only Do It To Eliminate All The (p0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Trouble Codes As It Dissables The Egr Valve

    Mick,

Do they charge to have the EGR disabled.... Or was there a re-call...?

Good ladies Z16XE Astra G SXi has a faulty EGR by the looks of it.

They charge is not a recall as its not a fault. The EGR valve wears out (particulary quickly). However mine was done under warranty as they were fed up of changing it every 2 months. I believe its about £50-70 for tech2. It does vary dealer to dealer so phone up and make sure.
