Sorry I didn't take many but what a great way to spend a weekend.
Saturday saw me off to Milton Keynes to see Mr Thorney and his setup. Well impressed can't believe the standard of work and the attention to detail to make sure all is fair and right. Including upping tyre pressures for the rolling road, lowering them afterwards and checking the fluid levels to make sure the cars were all up to going on their very impressive Dyno. According to Mr Thorney himself the exchange of air through the dyno could strip the air from the building (with doors shut in 12 seconds) . I can definately vouch for the freezing cold temperatures when the fans are on. 5 people to the one car on the rolling road all working like a well oiled F1 pitcrew.
Anyways to the pics...
The CooMeister's VXR up on the road.
In the run.
All these astras patiently waiting for their turn on the Dyno
Saturday night was a no go for me but Sunday morning came along and for some reason met this rabble @ Vauxhall.
Then we found some more hiding round the corner.
Well if you don't clean your car for 9 months your asking for it!!!
Mr & Mrs Yale showing that a shiny engine is a happy engine.
I knew this one was special when it turned up. That looks like a nice 2.0 Turbo lump providing the go pedal with a bit of a kick. Stunning MK3 certainly made my day.
Well thats it for my part. What a great time I had. I'd like to thank Thorney motor sport for the excellent service, advise and hospitality. Mr Crooke and the lads from LMF once again put on an amazing spread (of which they will be eating for the rest of the week by the looks of things), yet again giving out fantastic advice and the best of all some discount. Thank you all very much and I'm already looking forward to next year.
