    CDTI Airbox mod

There is plenty of 2.2 airbox threads, but not many about the 1.9 CDTI conversion. Anyone done it, and have any pics ??

Does the VXR MAF fit to the airbox direct with no problems, or is there adaption needed ??

I am assuming its just a case of buying a new CDTI airbox from vaux, but what about pipework from the MAF to the turbo intake ??

Any info greatly received ....... part no's would be perfect

Cheers scott, i found them but it doesn't really tell you anything.

No mention of MAF fitment, pipes required, the other breather hose isn't mentioned either. There not much on the other forums either, I'll give chris a ring and see what he reckons, i've seen it done on one of their cars but didn't take much notice ! doh

I've done abit more research on this and it has been done afew times, not as many as i thought though.

It seems that the AMM and the Airbox will mate up, but the big problem is the crankcase breather. It has to be piped post AMM, which means running it down to the front. You can fit a breather on there, but i would rather do it once and do it properly personally.

I'm just trying to find if the C20let pipe is a 55mm at one end, as the turbo intake is apparently 55mm

    Ah right.

A user on zlet has done the 1.9 box mod and made a pipe up with a place to plumb the breather.
