    ALDL Diagnostics plug.

Im trying to perform the paperclip test on my 1999 (not OBD2) Astra van that has the older ALDL plug under the handbrake. The problem is that in the Topbuzz website it says short out the pins 5&6 but i dont have a pin 6?

    Anyone shed some light?

    Thanks

youd find that this astra is a obd compliant vehicle and a paper clip test doesnt exist. youd have to use a scan tool to check the codes etc.

    '99 Astras AREN'T OBD2 compliant!

Petrol Astras only became compliant from build date Aug'00 ie the Z---- engines. Diesels were after that.
