Removing head unit without the keys

I've got a CDR-500 that I need to take out, but no keys to take them out with. I've read somewhere that you can use other things to take them out instead of using keys. If so, what can I use?

Also, I want to put my Alpine in (model # CDA-9847R, ipod connection), will all the connectors in the astra fit? or will I have to buy an addon as such?

you can use 2 or 4 thin nails to do this, one nail in each hole so it un clips the clip inside.

The Alpine should go straight in. Mine did.

There are screws in the holes that you need to remove first before you can stick the keys in. The keys were only £1.49 from halfords when I bought mine last year.

You won't be able to do that as the headunit needs to be out to get at 2 screews and the cage is screewed in to
