DEP0 Shark Eyes & HID Kit problem :(

    Hiya,

I'm having a slight problem getting the H7 HID kit (from the group buy) to fit into the the main beam place.

Problem is that it fits, but the shark eyes have a plastic cover that normally holds the halogen bulbs in place, but with this kit, there is no way (that I can see) of getting the plastic cover on as there is a rubber gromit in the way, and without the plastic cover the bulb wont stay in place .

Has anybody who has these lights and got HID's fitted know what I can do?

I've tried it in the full beam place and it fits there fine, just the main beam is problem. Maybe I got the wrong kit?

    Thanks in advance!!

Don't force the plastic ring incase you break it, the problem is the HID bulb's base is thicker than a normal bulbs.

I managed to get mine in before fitting the h/lamps in the car which made it easier. I pushed gently on the ring so not to stress any one side of it, you need to push on the ring as you turn it round it's a bit like undoing a pill bottle, just the other way round.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

I'm going to be removing the bumper and sorting out my misted lights at the weekend, so I will get pics off the set up and how the look when the lights are on ... in the mean time, have a look at rich888 (i think) post as he has shark eyes and HID's! looks awesome on the 888!

EDIT: http://www.m1gst.com/vb/showthread.php?t=82344 link to his rich888's pics
