A few brief words from anyone who's dropped theire coupe by 40mm please??

    Hello all,
just a quick one,I want to lower my new coupe turbo by 40mm,shocks and springs, but i'm concerned it will ruin the ride quality,i know that it's bound to be a bit rougher as thats the price you pay for having a lower/stiffer car,but could i have your opinions from those of you who've dropped yours by 40??a picture too would be amazing!!Many many thanks
    James

mines dropped 35mm on apex springs and standard shocks. It's ok but not the best. If i was to do it again i'd get eibach's, 10 times better ride quality mate.

I am running FK springs 60/40 on standard shocks with no problems. Ride was the same as they are a bit bumpy standard.

As Neilc says if you want you could just use the std shocks. Wouldn't notice much difference. And you save some money. Heres a link to a supplier but i'd try LMF first and see what they can do.

Thanks bud,i'll give them a try first, see what they can do,although it would be saving me some dollars i think it best to fit shocks whilst it's all off i guess?? .....thanks neil, don't suppose you have a pic of your 60/40 drop, was that 60 rear,40 front??

thats mine lowered 30mm on eibach springs and standard shocks and standard 17s

nice ride with std shocks but eibachs are designed to work with std shocks to maintain ride quality
