Which samco hoses do i get?

Right im fairly new to this site & i need some advice. Im blinging up my coupe engine bay at the moment.
Ive finally got a chrome battery cover etc, but i now want some blue samco hoses too!
Ive found a few different kits, but which one is best to start off with, cos i want them nearly all to be showing when i open up my bonnet!
These are the kits ive found today - Ancillary hose kit (7 hoses)
    Coolant hose kit (5 hoses)
    Induction hose kit (4 hoses)
    Turbo hose kit (2 hoses)
I think all the above kits are for the astra vxr, so im guessing they will fit my z20 let ok. Am i right?
Hope someone can help me soon.
If anyone has any nice pics of bling engine bays, pref with chrome parts & blue hoses would be well appreciated!
    Cheers Ness

    Welcome to AS Ness.

Here is a picture of my engine bay before the LEH (vxr) engine was dropped in:

Vxr induction hoses won't fit as the AFM is a different diameter, and the 'power pipe' set up and sensor location is different. Not sure about the coolant hoses, but I think that the rad is further from the block so this may be a problem. You really need the ZLET kits.

Take a look at the Regal site for explanation of the hoses:
    http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/asps/search.asp

    Or try Courtenay at:
    www.courtenaysport.co.uk

For battery cover etc - I'd highly recomend Glen Yale of here - send him a PM for more info. His covers are top quality polished stainless so won't rust.

What's that flat-ish black pipe going over the engine? I've seen some Astra's with out one, perhaps re-routed?

It's commonly known as the crossover pipe, but obviously is prone to heat soak. Retrofitting an 2.2 or 1.9cdti airbox removes the need for it as the air is routed direct to the turbo.

Thanks for your help scottyboy. Your engine bay looks fantastic Hopefully mine will look as bling as yours does next year!
I'll have a look at regal & courtenay sites tonight when i get home from work!
Ive seen some people have painted that crossover pipe. I might paint mine blue. Is the pipe easy to remove? & do i have to buy some special paint?
    Cheers

Can you only fit a 2.2 or 1.9cdti airbox if you have a turbo then?

Looks much nicer without the crossover IMO.

Where can I get a 1.9CDTi airbox from? Can that be de-restricted like the normal airbox in the how-tos?
