    Carbon Fibre Dipping

Following on from the carbon fibre engine cover thread, how much does carbon dipping cost??

Also Can i get it done from any ripspeed halfrauds?

Reason i ask is i have got a full centre console coming from a member on here. Was thinking of colour matching to the car/seats, but might be tempted to do this and go a bit carbon fibre inside instead.

    Any clues guys?

Had a hunt around on t'net and all i can find is that its Team Valley Halfrauds/Ripspeed in Gateshead that do it.

Some bloke on one of the calibra sites got one of his oil/header/water caps done and a v grill with no griffin on. Said it cost 30 quid and turn around was six days - very, very tempted....

Obviously to do the whole centre console bits it would be a bit more than 30 quid though......

Carbon fibre paint dipping? Is it just me or does that not sound like Tartan paint, a glass hammer, long stand, sky hook, etc. lol.

How do they dip something in paint and it come out a checked patern. Or do they apply some kind of checked masking film and spray the patern on? weird, be intresting to know how they do it.

surely they just send them somewhere else as the monkeys in halfords wouldnt be able to do it. so just find them and cut out the middle man, or find a disgruntled employee who will spill the beans
