    Unhappy Standard Dump Valve Location!!

    Can any one please help me,i am trying to find the oe standard dump valve on my Astra Gsi Turbo can anyone help please,pictures would be great to if possible!

    inside the actual turbo i think,
    cant actually see it,

    Look at the turbo and you will see a small pipe going onto a round bit.

    Under that is the standard DV

    good i will have look in mourning,
    so reason behinf it is i have just bought a new bailey dump valve and power pipe and they say i need to block the standard oe dump valve off with a shim is it easy enought to do??

    please dont do it

    i have had 2 GSI's now and had DV's on both and ended up removing them due to bad running ect

    if you must fit it then run both as its the best set up for them

    leave the OEM on in place and as it is and T piece the bailey into the power pipe then run the smller hose that comes off of it over the the fuel preasure regulator and T into that

    but deffo leave the oem one in place and running

    A few people have been asking specific location questions recently for turbo related components. So here is a pic (apologies to whoever I stole them from!) of the turbo (vxr) to help. This will also be stickied in a thread at the top of this forum for future reference.

    Also rather than blocking off the standard one you can stick a one way valve in the pipe that goes to the OE one so it disables it.
