Cheers Blistz,I did them myself in my shed.
Got them finished in time for the winter rain and all, got a brand new set of michelin pilot PS2's to go on (£300 for 4 quality tyres not too bad IMO)
Pretty pleased with the results as the wheels were very badly kerbed nearly all the way round.I was going to get them done professionally but sent off 3 or 4 emails to companies for quotes but only got 1 reply, who wanted stupid money so I though balls, I'll do it myself.
Made a few mistakes doing them but its the best way to learn and I'm feeling pretty 'self satisfied'
When I refurb the set that are still on my car, things should go a little easier, I hope!
What paint and colour did u use?
.. 2.0 Dti 16v .... With a few mods ..
i got a quote from a company in Prescot i think! it was about 50 quid a wheel, place was called pro clean 0151 292 5525.
Having askesd what colour Vauxhall uses on 2 threads on here to no avail I eventually chose stardust silver, a Ford colour!Originally Posted by AstraDti16v
looks good mate, have always done my own wheels aswell, isnt too big a job that you end up getting fed up with. Look like some top results though, you happy with them?
Cheers, I'm pretty chuffed with them in view of the fact that when I got them they looked pretty scruffy.TBH, there are a few imperfections on the wheels but these were a practice for the next set I will be doing so it was quite interesting to see if the products and paints I used were up to the job. I know I'll be using different primer next time.Originally Posted by xxspudxx
