    Blue Display?

I saw a picture of someone's car and the clock/date screen was showing up in blue and I want to do the same (when I eventually get an Astra) and thought it was a simple case of swapping the interior LEDs.

I was then having a look through the How To's and saw one called "Change Orange Diffuser on the MFD". Which is the one I want? What does the orange diffuser do?

    Thanks for any help,

    Sam

Your best bet is to pick up a second hand one and abuse that. That way you can go wrong without a worry.

Orange diffuser gives its orange appearance AFAIK
    Its a jam thing

Makes things orange , if you can find a clear diffuser to replace the orange one then the colour of the LED's will shine through that colour, whereas if you put Blue LED's behind an orange diffuser they wont shine through very bright an certainly not blue.

Jam, you mean a second hand car? or MFD? Where do you get one from?

Alfa GTV, where the f**k do you get a clear diffuser from?! Can't you just remove the orange diffuser?

In response for Jam, he means a secondhand MFD to practise on, and from me some of the earlier Astra's had clear diffusers. Unsure whether it would work without one, why not give it a try.

you need a diffuser to distribute the light from the LED's or you end up with bright spots.

How did you do yours ADDZYBOY? Just remove the orange diffuser and replace LEDs with blue ones?

Where did you get the LEDs from?
