    Steering wheel options

    Im stuck on this now.

I have narrowed it down to three wheels
Im not bothered by not having a air bag tbh they are ugly things imo.

    So heres my options

Richbrook all black except I would have a silver ring for the horn

    richbrook silver

    Astra turbo wheel again

    your thoughts please

I think the black more stealth and more uniform look would work...

after getting more injurys from a airbag in accident before, and one not deploying in another accident. I have little faith in them tbh

Injuries from an airbags are common, about as common as burns/injuries from seatbelts, but at the end of the day those are minor in comparison to what could happen without them and they really do save lives. Remember though just because you crash does not mean that the airbag should deploy everytime. The sensors calculate the serverity and only deploy if required. I care not to think how many Merc crash tests I have seen where they simulate crashes where the airbag should and should not deploy.

But end of the day though choice is yours and TBH your taste is pretty much spot on so.....

I prefer the silver one as it suits the interior better, followed by the Turbo one(but see below for another idea).

Can I suggest another steering wheel rather than the Turbo one? How about the Irmscher Aluminium or Gunmetal(this would suit your interior better) one, LMF has a special on something like 20% off or so. Pic below.......

Air bags save lifes, manufacturers would not put them in if they hurt the passenger more. As having you face slam against the dash dosn't sound to nice.

If you want to remove it then choose the black one looks nicer and will blend into the black dash IMO

The accident I had when the airbag didnt go off was in a escort I had I went head on right through a set of railings and should have gone off.

And My car is no longer a daily driver, it used for pottering about in occasionally and shows ect.

If it was a well used car I would think twice.
As for the irmscher wheels I can not justify the price of them tbh even though lmf do sell them at a good price.

My interior is a focal point in my car and details are important to the whole thing. but again cost and quality is a major factor, thats why I have put the option of the richbrook wheels as they are exceptional quality.

I had turbo wheel for a while and have just sold it. I liked the wheel and still do hence why im struggaling to choose between them all.

They will all cost around the same as turbo wheel (£100 second hand)
Plus Im hoping I can source a polished steering boss for it too to finsh of the detailing

Richbrook Silver for me Brett - would contrast to the interior perfectly.

Could you change the centre badge on it though??
