    Eibach 50/30 Will 17's Rub?

ok guys, i need a little help if someone has some inside experience.

i have an sri on the standard 20mm drop it comes with. I have fitted some 17's with very wide tyres.......225/45/R17

But i like them because they fit the line of the car perfectly and dont stick out and the car looks very mean as it sits on the road. but needs to be lower !

thing is, it rubs at the rear with 4 people in. or if i go "aggressively" over very bumpy roads or dips with say 2 people in the car.

i really want to lower it on the eibach 50/30. my concern is will it rub even more? or will the stiffer spring charectarstics actually stop it rubbing? and if i go 50 at the front will i have problems with full lock? Im thinking it only rubs because at the moment its a bit soft?

or should i just get 215 tyres next time?

    any info much appreciated,

    cheers
    323 BHP / 312 lbft.......

It will rub more with the Eibach setup. 215/45/17 or even 215/40/17 should be fine.
    .. 2.0 Dti 16v ..
