    Internet Terminology...

Is it just me...(It probably is) or do people use phrases and words on forums that are similar to scratching your nails down a blackboard on the irritation front?

I discuss this regularly with Matthew, I think my top 2 are:

In second, I detest this word, well it isnt a word, I would like to have it printed on a 6 foot plank of wood and beat people who use it, with it, why add the H, is there any need!?

    'YESH'

In first place, originating from Mig I believe a word used by the disturbed with an array of possible meanings

    'GEN'

thankyou, I shall add more as they come to memory and perhaps write to Tim Berners-Lee and see if a worldwide dictator style ban can come into effect on the internet using these words/collection of letters

I havent figured "gen" out yet. I kinda worked it out to mean "info" but, info is short for information therefore it's already a cutdown.

I've no problem with "gen" as it seems to be a proper word - my dad's used it for as long as I can remember

"lol", when used randomly, on the other hand just pisses me off

Forget tinternet terminology on the whole and concentrate on AS terminology and there u have the problem IMO.

Constant mis-spelling & mis-use of words such as:

    Simular >>>> Similar
    Brought >>>> Bought
    Irmisher/Irmsher >>>>> Irmscher

A few more which are confined to certain members are "oh" instead of "or", "has" instead of "as" - there's loads more - which escape my memory at this moment in time - but these particularly get on my nerves and are quite simply basic English language!!

Anyway enough of my ramblings and back to the thread in hand.

    Hi-jack over!
