    Speaker Install in Mk3?

    Hi guys,
Wanting to put a set of Alpine Type S 6.5's in a MK3 i think it is, i have two questions though. How do you remove the manual window winders so you can get the door card off? and will a 6.5inch speaker fit in the standard door pod? or will i need to get a pod to fit the speaker in, as i'm sure if you put the speaker in the door itself without a pod you will have issues with the window coming into contact? Any help appreciated, don't really want to break things trying to do this. Thanks.

Pod wise you will need to get some as the factory speakers and orgional pods are all in one. Your quite right in saying otherwise you will have issues, mainly with the window channel. Depending on the depth of the speaker you may need to space it out a little more than the pod will but there is the room there

To get the manual winder off have the handle pointing down and prise between the handle and the plastic spaced behind, you will see a metal clip that needs removing which you can do witha small screw driver but be carefull you don't loose the clip as it does have a tendancy to ping off somewhere
