what do u think of this

had my car remaped today (livemap) and was just wondering what folk thought of my torque curve

the car is a bit up and down

if u have a look at the graph u will see i have a peak of 294ft at 3300 revs and then goes down to 240ft at 3900revs then up again to 270ft at 4500revs then flat before dieing at at 5500 revs

the car feels a bit erratic it gives a big power boost then a flat kick then power up and down

i have been told the ecu will learn and this will calm down after a few hundred miles

i drove 320 miles home and its still the same

should i give it a few days to see if it calms down

    what use all think

    mods are
    k&n panal filter
    pre cat pipe
    veccy c mod
    sports plugs
    scorpian cat back exhaust
    and a new vxr turbo

the car ran 226 bph and 215ft with a good turque corve before livemap

Bit of a flat spot at 3900! Power curve should be smooth.

Should you not have a intercooler pulling that kinda power? Seems like a Stage 2/Phase 2 by the top end bhp but with no intercooler I bet its cooking. This is why I would only goto regal or courtenay for mappings

thats what i was thinking , i never thought i would get that sort of power

i was looking for 230-240 bhp and maybe 250 lbs/ft and a nice turque curve

dont like that word cooking, do u think it will be ok as long as i have not got my right boot down intill i get it fixed

any one know what a good power is for the mods i have

Standard cars suffer from a dip around there, yours looks worse for some reason.

It must drive like a dog with that dip. I would have asked them to tailor the map to your needs, and lower the BHP and torque to what you wanted, would probably smooth out that dip too

Yeah it'll be fine as long as you dont boot it... Cooking is indeed what it'll be doing. It could be the sensor detecting too much heat and backing off the boost. As to why its holding up the top end is another matter its pretty lucky its cold outside me thinks. Either that or you've got a great engine there!! I'd get him to back off the boost a bit though and hook it up to a tech 2 and see the inlet temp. You dont want it any highter than 70 in this weather pref lower but you wont get it lower without a good fmic
