Memory Card Problem with my nokia

got a problem with my 6280, acquired it after swoping it with my mate at work, anyways i didnt like the way it was set up so i did a factory settings reset, all good, until i came to the memory car and its now locked and requires a password to even view whats on it!!! anyone got any ideas??? i havnt got the manual for it so i cant look, its a mini SD card, are there any typical passwords nokia use??? my mate said he never had one, do i need to format it in a card reader??? mine doesnt accept a mini SD so im guessing i will need an adaptor???

on the 6270 you can format the memory card in the phone, just go to options when you have the memory card highlighted

The password for the memory card has probably been set by the previous owner, so the chances of unlocking it are slim. Best bet is to ask your mate, to see if he still knows it. Failling that, your only options are to take the phone to a nokia repair agent to get it unlocked or you could aquire a new SD memory card of Ebay. You can pick up 1GB cards for £15-£20.
