just some piccys an details of my progress with the van
started as a standard T reg 1.7 8v td thne i put my tsw lightening 17"s on it:
then came the spray cans for the bonnet grill, eyebrows, bump strips, front bumper also fitted some 'huntmaster' bucket seats from a metro 6r4:
the had a crazy idea a big silly fiberglass ebay special bumper and stick on mk3 gsi bonnet vents would look good :
then slammed it with chopped 60mm eibach coupe springs, fitted lexus rear lights and had everything else colour coded (apart from door handles) also a badly fitted Motorworld exhaust:
then after 150k one of the piston decided it got bored of going up and down so decided to go forwards when i was in blackpool:
so the idea of an engine transplant came about . my mate mark (FPE06)already had put a C20let in his mk4 van so i decided to head down that route but couldnt afford a turbo so found a standard cav SRi with 100k on clock and good bodywork for the bargin price of £300 and the fun began:
thats all the pictures i have so far, the Xe is currently sat in the mk4 at Feather performance engineering awaiting stainless system welding up and a bit of wiring for the clocks and gauges. hopefully will get more pics and have it back on the road by the end of Nov.
