    Grille modification

Have been thinking about removing the Irmscher 'i' badge from the grille, although not sure what's going to be the best way to get it off.

Anyone have any good tips to remove it and the bonding adhesive? Would the old hairdryer trick do the job?!

    Now...

..but that'll just leave the gubbings behind, on the grille, wouldn't it??

it's usually stuck on with superglue iirc, so heating it up won't help

if you want it off you need to just pull it off, as for whether it leaves a mark it depends on how much/what glue whoever stuck it on used. shouldn't be anything a little careful scraping and some back to black wouldn't fix

I used the glue that it came with, just used a dab on the top lip part of the holder IIRC.

Just didn't want to yank it off and then be left with a really obvious mark on the grille!! That was my main concern.

    Thanks.

in that case just whap it off, should be fine. as i say a little careful scraping/picking and maybe some back to black would rectify any residual

if it leaves a mark, tidy it up the best you can then spray the grill with charcoal bumper paint - costs about £3.99 per can
