Clio 172 and 172 cup, confused?

Thinking of getting a clio 172 cup but not sure what the diff is between the 172 cup and 172??

Also on the figures the 172 cup is faster from 0-60 and at top speed compared to the 182 and 182 cup and its cheaper, why not just keep the 172 cup. Why build a slower version next? Thats like vauxhall building another astra vxr, giving it 10 bhp extra, but making it slower from 0-60 than the existing one. Whats the point? not angry, just curious??

And why doesn't vauxhall enter the F1?

The Cup is a stripped out version, loosing stuff like the air con! Lighter weight, faster

yea as he said basically wit the cup you lose safety features such as abs and traction control as well as xenon lights, 2 off my mates had 172's each of them having the different models. personally i thought the normal 172 was the better with the creture comforts such as the better seats and the climate control and the xenons without it bein not much slower

i have had a 172 and a 172 cup and i found the cup was a betta car by far, is is stripped so u dont get ya air con or nice half leather seats but it feels a lot faster even though it is only point of a sec quicker to 60. also if you drive it hard if the twistys it handles very well as long as its not wet be carefull in the wet they do tend to have a mind of there own but a great choice of car but get the 172 cup over 172/182/182 cup.

was leaning towards the 172 cup rather than 172,182,182 cup, as the cup costs less money and things like air con just break down

The 172 Cup is vastly lighter than the 172. It even has thinner glass.

The 182 Cup isnt much lighter, only around 20kg lighter.

The best one IMO is the 182 Trophy.... but ... their all French and shit (imo)

    Vauxhall aren't completely innocent.

The 2.6 V6 GSi was slower than the older 2.5 V6 GSi
