    FK Automotive Angel Eyes

Ok, this is my first post so stick with me....

I just bought a set of angel eyes and stuck them on my astra (thanks to the instructions on here!). Problem is they are a bit dull and one of the rings is barely lit. Just wondering if someone could tell me do i get standard bulbs for this or what should I put in them. Any recommendations or advice would be great!

The main problem with the lights is that my normal beam just puts like two spots on the road with don't light much then when i hit full beam the lights don't raise at all and only the hedges at either side seem to benefit from any extra light.

Also, is the normal beam meant to come thro the light closest to the grill (inside) or the bulb on the indicator side?

    Welcome to AS mate.

The HID kit would be great for the main lights, but ignore it as far as an option for the rings. Some people have replaced the bulbs for super bright LEDs, I think Scottyboy did this with great results. I know theres a thread somewhere about it, but it would take some searching to find.

    Any pics of your car?

as for which light is which - from ur comments above - it looks like u might have them wired wrong way round.

Main beam is on the inside - next to grille
Dipped on outside next to indicator (this being the projector lamp)

Make sure ur dipped (ur usual driving light) is positioned in the projector lamp with high/main in the inside lens.

The design of the FK's is pretty crap - some say FK is German for F**** Krap!!! lol

The best thing u can do is fit uprated bulbs 80/100w to ur dipped beam, maybe the same in high beam, with maybe some LEDs (if u like the look of em) in the halos,,, make sure all bulbs are seated correctly - especially the bulbs in the halo rings.

Personally Id recommend a HID kit - theres a groub buy on at the mo at £105 delivered.

Fantastic upgrade and youll never look back!

thanks for the replies. I will swap the wiring round later tonight and see if that makes a difference cos as it is it's plain dangerous to drive with such poor light!

As for the HID kit, i would love to but once i get these lights working reasonably I think that'll do me for a while! Pure skint!
