    Mk4 Cabriolet vs Hatch Mirrors

Are these mirrors the same or is there a difference between the two?

    Thanks

Oh, is it possible to swap the base plates over? I'm aiming to swap my hatch manuals for some cabby electrics.

Short answer is yes it's possible but only if you have a press, the mirrors attach to the base plates using a spring loaded pin, you can get the pin out but you can't get it back without some sort of press, damned difficult to do and I gave up after a while, might go back to it one day

Another question, I don't want to open another thread up so will post it here as it's slightly applicable:

Do the mirrors come in different colours? Obviously the body coloured bit is but does the actual plastic mirror frame come in grey and black? Or is it just the pics I'm looking at are off-colour?

    Cheers
