    Scotland!

Well after a tiring week im now looking forward to a long weekend away.

Me and the missus are driving up to Pitlochry tomoorrow morning and staying until Sunday.

Im just wondering if anyone from on here had been and if so know the best places to go??

I have heard about the Blair Atholl castle and the distillery but seeing as we have the car we can go a bit further afield too.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    Pics to follow soon

Well, if crimbo shopping is your bag ...
.... further up the A9 is the House of Bruar, full of scottish gifts and goodness !!!

...apart from that I recommend driving round and enjoying the scenery

The Pitlochry Dam is pretty cool, an the suspension bridge which you walk over is quite bouncy ...i used to go there in my younger days for something to do quite often lol

Also at House of Bruar is a waterfall which is quite smart(think its there lol) if u decide to walk up the side of it to see it all

Which are the 'right' roads up then??

Up past edinburgh over the bridge or up past Glasgow??

I used to drive to Inverness every week from Glasgow to see the missus. However, If you have the choice, go over the Forth Road Bridge and follow signs for Inverness - its a much quicker and less boring route.

There will still be quite a few interesting pubs open up that neck of the woods, but beware if you dont like traditional Scottish music lol!!
