Done the Veccy C Mod..but me got a bit of a leak...

Just finished fitting that there large Veccy C pipe to the 2.0 Sri - thanks for the how to guide chaps - however (and there always is with my luck!!), the necessary rotation of the adaptor pipe away from the lug to allow connection to the airbox has left a small gap at the connection. Despite the firmest possible tug of a cable tie it is still pushing out a small amount of air.

Any tips or is it not a problem ?

mine did this on my old car, my only solution was to get fed up and pissed off with it but continue on until there was no gap. You may not notice much difference or much of a problem with the gap, but it wont be ideal as it will be letting air out.

My advise either fiddle around with it a bit more, or try and rotate it if possible. its one of those mods thats either easy to do, or a ball ache, perseverance is the only way to overcome it really mate

i have this stupid gap, it is so annoying, i spent ages working the pipe on, i know exactly what you are talking about. but trust me after a month or so, it works its way off again !!

i decided the gap really isnt gonna make much difference, so ive left it.

cheerz all - after an hour or so out in the freezing cold with several cups of tea, bits of skin ripped off the fingers, one of the airbox stays broken off after 3 refits and still no perfect fit it does tend to get the better of you.

but it's all sent to try us....
