    which size wheels

    well after a heated debate with a mate i reackon running 16's is the best for 1/4 mile but he says the smaler the better i.e 15 and below would a coupe look daft on 16's im seriously considering it....

    p.s alloy or steelies...?

    whether 16s look daft isnt an issue if its speed ur after.

    as for alloys/steels and 15/16s etc - I dunno - Im outta my depth there! lol

    would you be able to get any power down with such small wheels likr 15s dont most coupes come standard with 16s

    16 is the smallest you could go to get over the 308mm brakes anyway. a smaller wheel will give faster acceleration but if u go too small first gear would red line too quickly.

    the lightest wheels would be the best too.

    I learned i had 16" wheels on ma supra then i put 18s on and i got less acceleration but a higher top end so work it out !

    Why not have a big set of wheels for show, then a small set for go when you're actually doing the 1/4 mile. TBH I doubt your gonna see that much difference as the over all rolling circumference isn't gonna be that much different. If you're worried about how to make your 1/4s quicker, think about tuning first and shedding weight.

    when i went on a trackday my tyres i had were a bit bigger profile 235 45 17 from 215 40 17 making them about 6% different and it made my car noticably slower accelerating
