My RC car body collection. (56k aware!)

There seems to be alot of RC car thread recently so i thought i'd jump on the band wagon.

As most of you know i bought a New body for my RC car at Silverstone.

but that's just one more in the collection.

    I've a TT-01 chassis and 5 bodyshells at the moment. (waiting on a 6th)

So with a bit of Photoshoppery.

    Here they are.

Going back from newest to oldest.

The latest addition is the 2006 BTCC Astra Sport Hatch.

Had a nightmare getting a rims to fit (wrong offset) i was just going to space them out, but that would have created more problems than solving so i ended up buying two sets of the same wheel. cutting out the hub of the 2nd set and bonding them to the back of the first (after removing the centre of the wheel).

As i had a little mod idea when i was thinking about the spacers, i carried it over to the modified rims.

    Aluminium drilled brake disks.

The body before that is my Holden Commodore. (AKA Stealth)

Went for the VXR look with the rims.

My first "modded" shell was this Proline Astra Coupe, i scratch built the rear spoiler and painted it a Metalic Blue for the Astra 888 (Coupe) look.

When Zoe bought me the car she also bought the HPI 2003 Astra BTCC body shell, however i made a pigs ear of spraying it, so got myself a replacement and added the HPI rear wing.

Then the shell that came with the kit.

    A Calsonic Skyline GT-R 2003

Love this shell, so i gave these rims a set of brake discs too.

Plus they'll look awesome on the new shell i'm waiting for. A Manta B rally car in Blue.

    Your thoughts, comments?

    Old School...update

Well the Manta B shell has arrived,

I'll be honest i'm little disappointed with the build workmanship (thats eBay for you, it was still cheaper than a new one tho), but nothing i can't improve on.

So to get it up to scratch.

I'm going to mask ALL the outside of the shell. and the inside of the windows and give the body a few More coats of paint, as it's a little transparent at the mo. The colour is the same as the 888 shell (thats sold)

Then the window masks will come off and i'll put a medium tint on the windows (might do a sunstrip too).

I've already enquired about the availability of the separate sticker set as the window stickers have been poorly applied.

Can't decide if i should keep the motor sport look, or have it as a road car.

on the plus side, if everything goes to plan, early next year i should have a nice long drive so i'll start to use these more.
