Removing Double Sided Tape'd Bump Strips

    Howdy
So I (finally) got my replacement bump strips and they have two small guide clips on the inside and double sided sticky tape all the way around. I'm going to take them to a shop to get painted but I'm hoping to fit them myself.

Does anyone else have a motor with some double sided sticky tape'd parts? How did you remove them - any tips I can pick up? One of the guides said whacking them ketchup-bottle style would help but that was about clipped parts, not taped.

    Any tips appreciated!

soak in turps using a cloth, then just use a old credit card or similar to scrap it off.

Cheers guys. Am hoping to get it painted over the next few days followed by a swift valet and a weekend spent with an extension lead and hair dryer

    pics please when its done

If you would like to do a 'How to' for us on removing and re-fiting the bump strips that would be great Just take some pics as you go along and jot a few words down explaining the procedure and that it. Send the lot to us and we will make it into a presentable file for all to use. You will get full credit of course
