    so if HIDs are £100s...

    why are these £4.99? Am I missing something?

    I know there is likely to be a catch but I'm really tired and not all that knowledgable about HIDs anyway. Your experience much appreciated

    Because they are not HID's.......The ad states "HID look Halogen" - which is bollocks anyway, as they are xenon gas bulbs.

    they are normal incandescent bulbs rather than discharge bulbs

    I wouldn't say naff (without having seen them in the flesh), they are only xenon bulbs, which are normally much better than standard bulbs, giving a whiter light. But they definitely won't have the power of HID's

    what do you do when your hid's go? do you have to buy a new set for £150... or just replace the bulb? if so how much are they?

    New HID bulbs are about £30-£50 each but dont blow as quick as normal bulbs because they run cooler
