    Cleaning a 2 Stroke engine

Ok, so i got a mini moto for tenner today of a mate and it's covered in oil and grit/sand.

I want to clean it but i don't know if i can just pressure wash it/hose it down.

Do i need to cover any part's of the engine?

Can i do this or should i just take the engine out and give it a good clean with an engine degreaser?

    Thanks

Just stuff a bung up the exhaust and on any air intakes, and dont directly blast anything with bearings and you should be fine. Alternatively, a bucket of water will do an equally as good job with a bit of patience!
