    painting an intercooler

    ok say you had an inter cooler thats silver and want it black

    what paint would you use to do it ?

    and in what way to apint it ?

    answers on a post card to the usual address kids

    me personally would think a light spray using a bodyshop paint gun thingy lol would apply a thin enough coat so its black but still effective...

    bbq matt black spray works well from what ive heard.. about 6quid for a tin from homebase

    just wasnt sure if it needed to be a heat resistent paint but i suppose if its on an intercooler then heat aint an issue

    keep it v v v light though. I have seen someone paint it then put it back on and it pinks like a bitch due to IC being clogged lol

    I have used plasti-cote on one of my intercoolers before and it was fine and that was running 280bhp good old C20LET.

    A guy on Z20LET sprayed his black so it doesnt stand out if that helps
