Bits and Pieces - Now with Pics

Just spent my bday happily messing with the car

Now got white dials with blue LEDs, dial kit bought from directcarparts.com who were very good i must admit.

Put on the flat wiper blades recommended on here somewhere, look very nice too.

4 door pins from Astra_Dan, 3 fitted great but the passenger side for some reason the screw thread was bigger so had to drill a bigger hole, but its fine now.

Sorted my ice out as the radio signal was shite, found the aerial socket is a poor fit so tapped it up and sounds great again now.

Will do pics when the weather picks up as its teeming down atm.

    Couple of quick questions/requests.

During the install i managed to lose (god knows how) one of the screws that keeps the steering column cover on (with a posi drive head) and one of the plastic covers behind the steering column (D shape, covers the screw).
Anyone got one each of these or tell me a part number so i can get them to finish it off properly?

Also, the MFD is now also blue LED, but you can see the 2 LEDs through the display as I removed the orange filter behind it, any way to sort that out? I did sand the LEDs down and it has improved the light dispersion but its not perfect.

    Thanks

I did, sanded them really well they look just like the white bulbs you get as standard.

The problem is that the MFD has an orange diffuser on it, which has to be removed for the blue to work, and if you remove them theres nothing to hide the blue dots.

I think you're gonna need a diffuser of some sort in there to soften and spread the light.

One or two pieces cut out the side of a 4pt milk carton might do the trick
