    HID Group buy

    have any of you boys and girls bought a HID kit from the current group buy?

    is it pukka, and are the kits good quality for the money? what temperature has everyone gone for. easy to fit?

    any help would be smashin, thanks

    I bought one from Genuine's group buy and I am very pleased with it, I have 4700k bulbs (bright white)

    4700K gives the most light, so yes.

    Same here - 4700K kit in standard headlights. They're bright enough that 100W "white" full beams really don't make enough difference to bother using on a dark B road.

    Fitting took about an hour, I fitted the ballasts under the lights on the car's chassis (more or less behind the arch liner). Well, actually I watched while someone else fitted them there

    6000K is less bright, more blue.

    4700K is the brightest, whitest, and therefore the best for lighting up a dark road. 6000K and above really are more for showy cars.
