Question 1.9 air box and AFM

Done a search and only found a little information about this so thought I wouild start a new thread

My AFM is on its way out the TC light keeps coming on every now and then and it stats to idle funny etc.

I want to fit the 1.9 airbox and also use the VXR MAF which is a bigger 80mm one. Courtenay said one of there customers is using one on there ZLET as they have had 8 standard ones so far so giving it ago.

Does the 1.9 air box use the 80mm outlet or not ??

I remember Regal using a diesel 80mm AFM on there Coupe and 80mm airbox but not sure what model it came from and I am quite sure it wasnt just plug and play and they said it wouldnt run unless something else was done.

Lee said the older C20LET uses an 80mm AFM so that turbo to airbox pipe should fit ok

and help or comments are welcome

ps. currently using the 2.2 setup.

If Courtenay and Regal have both said the same thing, TBH I'd go with what they said!!!

Get in touch with Regal would be your best bet. That way they can tell you for sure what they did or what they used etc and even supply you with it.

regal i think use the vxr pipes (80mm) and vxr afm but as far as i know it needs mapping to suit.

theres a good thread about the 1.9 box in the zlet section, its just finding it

    So whats the outcome?

Is the Astra 1.9 Cdti airbox 80mm?

Also whats the outlet from the turbo?
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...
