    Astra MK4 GSI Question.

Have got one, but without rear parking sensors. IM thinking that i would like them so is the wiring for them in the car sumwhere, would it be just a case or buying a rear bumper with the holes and sensors and plugging them in? Id of thought as its top of range from start that it would have all wiring etc?
Has anybody tried this? Dont want any kits tho. want it to be standard if you get me.

I may be wrong here but i think they were dealer fitted and are just kits

you drill small holes in the bumper for the sensors to fit into and you colour code them

Just cos they were fitted when the car was new, doesn't mean they weren't fitted by the dealer. A lot of the simpler/cheaper options are dealer-fit, not factory-fit.

Mines are dealer fit, been on the car since new, basically it's small holes about 1/4 size drill bit, they slot in and then wired up to the reverse light so that the sensor switches on when in reverse and a speaker fitted into the car, mines is in the footwell which will be gettin moved!!!

So is this something that a vaux dealership can do now, 3 and a bit years later? Or could i purchase the kit and fit it myself?

They're easy to do I would imagine. There are enough kits available for sale as DIY.

can take the car to the dealer if you prefer, but LMF should be abl to supply the kit they seem straight forward to fit, even aftermarket versions are pretty easy
