    induction kit question

    i have fitted an K & N 57i induction kit on my Astra Turbo mk4

    someone has told me, i need to get things under the bonnet checked and adjusted. He says my valves can be damaged

    Is this true guys ???

    Ime likeing the jdl skirts and rear apron but not kean on the front splitter ime tempted to go jdl rear a skirts with a gsi front bumper.

    absolute bollocks if u ask me! especially if u mean ur valves have been "damaged" due to fitment of said induction kit!

    Plenty of people run induction kits without any adjustments needed.

    As long as you follow the filter maintenance procedure, ie clean it as instructed and reoil as necessary (but never over-oil it)...

    you should be fine

    What I asked was:

    When I fitted my Jetex Airforce induction kit, Someone said to my I will have lost power?? Is this a load of arse too?

    As the Air Force is an enclosed kit, and works the same was as a Viper or BMC, then I doubt you'd suffer any powerloss caused by heat soak that would affect open cones.

    So yep, you were told arse

    Wrong again! You should experience a little hike in power - nothing to shout about but a gain is a gain at the end of the day! An enclosed kit should give a little increase in performance, power and more importantly allow the engine to breathe more freely.

    All in all....a top mod!
