    Performance Fitting

Does anyone know of a decent fitting centre aroung the derbyshire/notts area (Ripley etc.). I've got a Piper s/s cat back system and need it fitting, I rang K & M Tyres at Bulwell, Roadrunner recommended them, they quoted me 40 squid, is this reasonable, it sounds a bit steep!

    Cheers,

    Stu

    Yea let me know chap!

I don't know if my Astra can be remapped as its the '99 model and the newer ones are different engines I think!

Cheers anyway I'll give them a ring!

You got any idea how much they'll charge for just the fitting, like I said ive been quoted £40 at best so far.

Just whack it on ur self....not exactly rocket science. Get ur self a jack and axle stands if u dont already have some and do it yourself. If I lived local I'd do it myself for nowt (or even just beer money) - u might need a fitting kit (new bolts, springs, gauze gasket & rubbers too) but may be able to get by with the existing ones. As for the 40 notes youve already been quoted - this would suggest a garage is charging u roughly an hours labour for the job. Personally Id be looking at 20max - why not go to any local place and speak with one of the guys in their lunch break and slip him some beer money - should sort it out. No big job if u ask me. Providing all parts are in order shouldnt take more than 20mins tops.

Sorted mate, took me about 1/2 an hour with a couple of mates, the existing system was very tight, but piece of piss once it was off!

    Cheers
