    Decat pipe

Would getting the cat removed with a straight pipe significantly increase the emmisions?

I know it is a legal requirement to have a cat. But am just thinking of a very easy going MOT test centre near by that probably wouldn't notice, as long as the emmisions were still within the legal limit.

Removing the MAIN cat is illegal and will certainly fail the emissions test, as you would have nothing to dampen the emissions at all

removing the pre-cat pipe is ok as this is only needed for first registration

This applies to the mk5's too for anyone thinking of doing it

andy your right, you have to retain the main cat in some description. 100 cell is borderline for MOT in my experiences, 200 is fine and as nice upgrade too
