    engine run on....

well has i posted yesterday when i switch off the ignition and pull the key out the car keeps running thought it was my ignition barrel but changed and seems fine read the haynes manuel and it says causes could be either excessive carbon build up, high engine operating temp and this cant be has the engine is cold.. and fuel injection system faulty....

any ideas how i can check such items... car cnt drive has in a million pieces also the is a black soot on my house wall where the car exhaust system has been near the wall

any ideas and help would be greatly appreciate

p.s no turbo timer disconnected yesterday

start using some redex mate, should clear the carbon deposits and help more performance (carbon deposits cause pre ignition meaning less power) i started using it on my 200,000 mile sierra big mistake! it smoked like a camp fire dowsed in diesel!!! for medium mileage motors it should be fine though

if the engine still fires after the ignition has been turned off its called 'over run' typical of carbon build up.
