astra mark 4 speedo buld upgrade?

Hi, i made a mistake fitting a white dial kit to my astravan mark 4! I used a cheaper copy of the lockwood kit and stuck the white dial parts over the original black ones! Problem is you can see the dials at night but they are not that bright on max power! Can you get any stronger bulbs for the holders or am i stuck with dim dash light?

Was that "cheap copy" that home made and laminated crap off ebay?

yeah it was that rubbish off ebay, had major probs with the temp gauge after fitting, now fixed on the 3 time of trying! The copy works ok on my binnacle but is just a little dark, don't really want to have to take it off as i don't want to upset the temp again! Any ideas on the bulb front?

Theres' not much you can do as the black on the orignal faces is opauqe, so no light is gonna get through there anyway. And upping the wattage of the bulbs might cause something melt

The best bet really is to get a decent set of faces
