    I.t. Jobs In North West?

hey all, any of you know of any companies recruiting for IT jobs in the north west? (something like a Helpdesk Support role or similar)

I live in Wigan but im willing to travel to preston or manchester etc.

i have around a years admin experience and will be a qualified Systems Administrator by the end of 2007.

Any ideas or websites at all you could give me please ? (looking for 14k per year upwards) have already used jobcentreplus.co.uk, reed.co.uk, monster.co.uk etc, but these companies just email you spam generally, im looking for specific companies taking on... like telewest (just for an example)

Hope you can help a fellow astra owner ! haha

    cheers

Haven't had a single job since I left Uni which was publicly advertised in the conventional sense, or through an agency.

A lot of companies don't like using agencies for entry level roles because with any role, they'll have to pay the agency up to a few months' wages in commission and with that kind of money involved they often don't want to chance it on someone with less than a few years experience. You're better off asking around or applying directly - though if you do apply directly, don't just write blindly to any old company, make sure you've done some research first to confirm it's worth your time. Not a lot of point in applying to the IT department of a company three weeks after it's been in the paper that they're outsourcing their IT.
