Hi all, ok as the weather is now starting to turn sh!t but randomly wet and dry I have started to make note (mentally) of how much the weather affects the performance of my car.
When the air is cold it is better than when it is hot (obviously - duh) but I have also noticed that it is better when wet. I thought it might just have been cos it's cold when it's wet, but back in August it was hot and wet and it was still better than before it was raining (on the same day).
Yesterday it was pretty cold and the engine was good.... but then I jet-washed the car including the front grille (so probably sprayed water into the air intake) and when I drove away it was noticeably better than when I drove in...
Now what I want to know is:
1) Has anyone else experienced this?
2) Am I damaging anything by accidentally spraying water into the air intake (very small amounts I would imagine)?
3) I know that at least 1 person on here with a turbo engine (Scott) has water injectors before and after the turbo, and it makes a big diff. Would adding a water injector to an NA car cause problems or make a real difference??
wow, what a long post - answers please??
