    Steamed Up Headlights ??

    Hi,

I just got me car serviced and washed it last night and now the headlights have steamed up inside.

Now my dad had a 5dr back in 99 and it had this problem. Vauxhall swapped them but they still wasn't right.

I have had the car for 3 years and never noticed it. Now after a service at a main dealer they are streaming up. Do they sometimes do this or have the been swapped by some ***** at the dealers ??

    Cheers
    JJ

usually caused by the water seal becoming u/s. That is caused by the bonnet closing slightly too far - it needs adjusting on the stops so it don't close as far. I think the only cure is new lights - also an MOT failure. I'm sure i'll be corrected if i'm wrong

Unless the don't clear after 20mins on dipped beam, then VX don't consider them a problem

vaux dont want to know about this fault all they do is lift the bonnet to give it more ventilation. or as above drill 3 3mm holes in the bottom for better ventilation. mine does it if i got lights on at motorway speed in the rain they condensate as inside is warmer than outside of the plastic. but they always clear within the 20 mins allowed so apparently its ok.
