mine has a few stone chips on the front bumper and the bonnet. at the end of the day stone chips are part and parcel of driving and will always happen.give the car a full megs 1 2 3 treatment and fill in chips with touch up paint! other than the chips on the front of my car the paintwork is in great condition, im always out washing polishing and waxing it tho!

Its a 3 stage cleaning kit

    s1 is a light scratch/swirl remover
    s2 is a polish
s3 is a caranbu (sp) wax.

Takes a while to do, but end results are good. Only used stage 1 myself then used an autoglym polish instead of stage 2 and car looked great.

i've got a lot of paint fade on the roof of my red Y plate sxi, but i'm taking it on the chin because its a red car, and red paint fades a lot faster than most other paint,

Try owning a red Vauxhall. They've always faded badly.

vauxhall paint is pretty soft which doesnt help with protection from stone chips

The SRi turbo bodykit was fitted after the cars were built and as such, weren't painted at the same time as the rest of the car. They didn't get the high temp bake like the rest of the car and is soooo much more prone to stone chips than the rest of the range (or so I've heard)
