Hi there people....
After a substantial number of years never opening the bonnet of a car, I'm getting the urge again. Most of you guys probably won't understand this but back in the day I was thumping around in a 351cu cleveland with ford SVO single profile cam running 66cc cylinder heads & a 600cfm vac secondary holley. Back in those days there was still lead in petrol AND you could use it to keep the combustion chamber cool by not burning all of it at low revs.... (sigh)....
Anyway, now its all about X18XE1. I've got a pod filter & I'm thinking about an exhaust.
However, I want some pointers on the megasquirt....
Where could I get a ECU map from?
Do I need a MAP sensor or is the existing MAF okay?
What's the advantage in wideband O2 over narrow?
Megasquirt or MSII?
Fuel or fuel/ignition?
At this stage, I want to keep the project low key - standard except for the pipes on either side of the manifold.
