Does anyone have any knowledge on CAGIVA MITOs 125

    Evening all

As there are quite a few motor bike riders among AS I wonderd if anyone had any knowledge on cagivas 125 (or bikes in general)

Bikes looks in excellent condition, the front fairing needs tighting but other than that its sound

I will be my first road bike so I wondered what to look for when buying bikes.

I will be buying it to use on a provisional for a few months then going in for my full bike test to get something bigger

Sorry non car question but your all so helpful

if you take your test on that bike you will be limited to only being allowed a bike up to 33bhp for 2 years . better to get the bigger bike now and take your test on it

You need a CBT as well unless you have a full driving licence.

theyre a good bike imo, ive got a derbi gpr 50 (still! lol)

Just be prepaired to seriously look after it as they can go seriously wrong if you dont, regular piston ring changes etc,

if it was my choice go for a low power 400BHP 4 stroke, mor reliable etc, honda CB400 etc, they can be restricted to 33BHP for test purposes and easily de resitricted for you 2 year restriction period after passing your test

Cagiva's are 2 stroke 125's. One of the only bikes with 7 gears aswell. I'd agree that the aprilia is better though, I had an aprilia rs50 and a rs250. Personnally I wouldn't bother buying a 125, take your test now rather than buying a bike and buy something bigger, you'll quickly get bored of the 125. How old are you? Affects which test and bike you could get. As for buying one, just check for general condition, leaks etc, check suspension, fork seals, wheel bearings, head bearing, make sure the calipers aren't sticking. Ermm, can't think what else at the moment. Don't forget 2strokes need to have seperate oil for them, make sure you don't let it run out. Probably need piston rings replacing at around 10k miles.
